Who can donate a used device?
Any individual or organisation can donate a used device which they no longer need, but which is still in working condition. This donation can be made by registering on our app - ‘e-bhavishya’ - which is available on both Android and Apple play stores.

Can I make a bulk donation of devices?
Yes, an individual or an organisation wanting to donate multiple devices can do so. For bulk donations you can contact us at

What will e-bhavishya do with my device?
Your device, if found to be in good working condition, will be provided to a school or college student at a very nominal rate to aid their studies. The cost charged for the device will cover the repair, update and transport costs of the device.

What if my device needs some repair?
e-bhavishya will carry out a thorough check of your device, upon receiving it, to estimate the potential working life of the device. All basic hardware and software repairs will be undertaken before your device is allotted to a student.

What if I do not have a charger for the device I’m donating?
As far as possible please try to provide the charger along with the device that you’re donating. However, if you no longer have the charger you can simply donate the device. The charger will be arranged by e-bhavishya.

How will my device reach e-bhavishya?
Once you have registered the device for donation on the app, our delivery partner will be contacting you via phone to fix up a mutually convenient time for pick up of the device from your registered address that you have entered in the app.

What is the safeguard for any leftover personal data in my donated device?
e-bhavishya will be formatting your device before listing it for purchase by a student. However, it is advised that you, at your end, may please take the time to delete any left over personal data on the device.

Is it possible that my device is not given to any student?
Yes, devices that are found to be in poor working condition and/or beyond the scope of basic repairs will not be listed for purchase. They will be sent to an e-waste recycling facility for proper disposal.

Will I get to know when my device has been allotted to a student?
Yes, an acknowledgement will be sent to you by e-bhavishya when your device has been claimed by a student.

What if I want my device back?
By accepting to donate your device to e-bhavishya you will be forfeiting your claim to it and cannot request that the device be returned back to you.

Where can I donate my device from?
At present we are only accepting device donations from Delhi, Faridabad, Gurgaon and Noida.

Who can purchase a device through e-bhavishya?
Any school/college/University student can purchase a used second hand device to aid their studies.

How will a student’s credentials be checked?
At the time of purchasing the device the student will be asked to upload his/her school/college ID. On the basis of that ID, e-bhavishya will be contacting the concerned institution to verify whether the student is genuinely enrolled.

What if I do not have a school/college ID?
In case a school or college ID is unavailable, you can download the format of a Bonafide certificate that is available on the app. Please get this certificate filled up by your institution and upload the same. It will be used to verify your enrolment at that institution.

What kind of devices are available for purchase by students?
The devices available for purchase by students are - laptops, tablets, desktops and smartphones.

How much do the devices cost?
All devices are priced based on their working condition and estimated lifespan. All the devices are nominally priced between Rs. 500/- to Rs. 5000/-. This basic cost covers the expenditure incurred by us on their repair, updation and transport.

How can I pay for the device I’m ordering?
You can pay in cash at the time of delivery after checking the device and after you or your parent or guardian has signed the Terms and Conditions. (Link at the bottom of the page)

How will I get my device?
After you have ordered it on the e-bhavishya app, our delivery partner will be coming to your house to deliver the device and collect the payment.

What if my device stops functioning or is working too slow?
In case your device suddenly stops functioning or is too slow, you can contact us at

team@ebhavishya.org. We will replace such a device at no extra cost within a period of one year from the date of purchase.

Can I order multiple devices on e-bhavishya?
No, one user can only purchase a single device on one school/college ID. This limit has been placed to ensure that the benefit of electronic devices available at nominal costs is extended to as many students as possible.

Where can I order a device from ?
At present we are only delivering devices in Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad and Noida. Hence, only students based in these four cities can order devices at e-bhavishya.
